Start with a controlled angle
Compare faces at a similar height and distance. A close wide-angle camera can exaggerate facial proportions and a heavily lit studio can make subtle changes in color hard to see. Find a front view, a side view and one three-quarter view of the same configuration. Ask whether the featured head, wig and finish are included in the quoted package.
Compare the exact finish and photographs together
A collection page may mix customer images, manufacturer assets and marketing composites. Identify which image belongs to the selected variant. If different galleries appear to share an image, use the written finish and model identifiers as your anchor. A photo of the actual unit in neutral light is especially helpful when color, surface detail or finishing is the reason you chose it.
Check physical construction separately
A pose shows the model in a position at one point in time. It gives little information about the effort required to move a joint, how the model was supported, or how long the pose can be maintained. Match a static pose to a demonstration of setup before relying on it. For balance or dimensions, favor a stated measurement or a clear shot with a reliable reference.
Document the purchase version
Save the product code, the selected option names and photos used to identify the unit. Include details a retailer can verify, such as the head revision or part number. Ask which parts of the photos are representative when the seller cannot show the actual unit. A useful review records this uncertainty alongside the visual comparison.
