Define one comparable configuration
Write down the body code, head code, finish and any confirmed upgrades. Ask sellers to quote exactly that configuration and to identify any differences. For an unlisted option, ask for a separate line price rather than guessing whether it is included. Compare the same destination and shipping requirements.
Record the total and the conditions
Keep the display currency and payment currency separate. Ask how the seller treats shipping, handling, insurance and any charges it can quote for the destination. A price valid for a warehouse pickup may differ from home delivery. Where a charge cannot be established, keep it in a separate unknown field and compare the remaining totals on the same basis.
Compare the price with after-sales obligations
Ask who handles the order if a component is missing, damaged or incompatible. Record response deadlines, the service contact and the difference between parts support and a return. Include any cost to the buyer where the seller can quote it. Treat optional electronics or software as separate items with their own support terms.
Make the comparison repeatable
Save both written offers and note their dates, validity periods and conditions. Check whether a promotion requires a particular SKU, region, payment method or stock location. Ask for a new total if any condition changes. Reference prices in catalogue records can help you identify what to ask for, and the quoted total is what you compare before payment.
