Separate the body from the electronics
A passive doll can have a jointed skeleton and a realistic appearance. An interactive model might add a speaker, sensors, a networked app or a motorized head. Ask the seller for a list of included components, the head revision, and the exact product code before comparing prices.
Request a repeatable demonstration
Ask for a continuous clip of the exact unit or configuration. A clear sequence shows power-on, pairing, a question and answer, and any motion controlled by the app. Look for a clear distinction between manufacturer footage, retailer demonstrations, and independent coverage.
Check language and connectivity
Ask whether speech recognition and spoken replies support your language. Check the minimum app version, account requirements, internet dependency, and what continues working if the phone is disconnected. A supported interface language does not necessarily imply the same language is available for speech.
Make a complete cost comparison
Compare the same head, body, controller, charger, and shipping destination. Ask about replacement parts, service contacts and the availability of batteries, then save the seller’s written confirmation. Compare optional software fees separately from the listed physical product price.
Example manufacturer specification: RealDoll Harmony
Examples of documented configurations
- RealDoll Harmony: RealDoll documents an animatronic head and a Bluetooth companion app for the configuration on that page.
- Irontech IronAI head: Irontech describes an integrated voice module, use as a standalone head, and compatibility with most M16 silicone bodies.
- Realbotix: The company’s service-sector humanoids are useful examples for comparing demonstrations of speech and motion in a different product category.
These manufacturer references describe specific hardware. They do not establish which options are included in any DollWife listing.
